In this short post, I am going to share with you 5 reasons why I love WordPress.
WordPress is an amazing CMS platform for bloggers and small businesses.
It’s easy to set up, easy to manage, easy to customize, and it makes setting up your online business a whole lot easier than coding out a complete website from scratch.
I’ve been using WordPress for years, and I can honestly tell you it’s been a game-changer.
So without further ado, let’s dive into the 5 things I love about WordPress.
Easy to Install & Setup
WordPress is extremely easy to install & set up. With most web hosting companies you can launch your WordPress site with a click of a button by using their one-click installer.
Setting up your site to your specifications is even easier. By using theme builders and plugins, you can design and customize your site just the way you like it.
Plenty of Themes to Choose From
Another reason why I like WordPress is that there are plenty of themes to choose from.
There are hundreds of free themes to choose from and many more premium themes you can buy.
Just a side note. Free themes come with potential issues, and I’ve discussed them extensively in this article I’ve written.
Needless to say, you will never have a problem creating a nice-looking site because the WordPress theme selection is virtually endless.
You Can Use Plugins to Extend Your Site’s Functionality
If you want to add a contact form, you can add one easily with a plugin.
If you want to add a lead generation pop-up, you can add one with a plugin.
Heck, if you want to install a firewall to block malware attacks, there are plugins that can do that.
Plugins are the main functionality of WordPress, and in my opinion, it’s what makes WordPress special.
You can turn your site into whatever you want and extend its functionality however you please with the use of plugins.
WordPress is very Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Friendly. WordPress makes it extremely easy for any user to rank for keywords, setup XML sitemaps, optimize page titles & images, and more.
By using an SEO plugin such as Yoast or All in One SEO, you can achieve your SEO goals easily and without hassle, because these plugins literally handhold you through selecting the right keywords, helps you add a meta description, and analyze the SEO on your page to let you know if you have a good chance by being picked up on Search Engines, and more.
Last but not least, WordPress is FREE!
There is no monthly or yearly subscription, or even a one-payment.
The WordPress core is absolutely free, because WordPress is open-source and available for anyone.
Other CMS’s & website builders cost money, and that can hold someone back when they are first starting out. I highly advise anyone starting a blog or online business to please consider WordPress to launch your website.
That’s all for this post folks. Do you have any other reasons why you like WordPress? Please share them in the comment section below. Thanks for stopping by and I will see you next time!
